Stability analysis of recombinant G6PD variants upon Gdn-HCl treatment. Residual enzymatic activity was determined after incubation with different concentrations of Gdn-HCl (0‒0.5 M) at 37 °C for 2 h in the presence of various concentrations of NADP+ (0, 10 and 100 μM) or AG1 (10 and 100 μM). Residual enzyme activity is expressed as a percentage of the activity for the same enzyme incubated in the absence of Gdn-HCl. C1/2 is the Gdn-HCl concentration at which the enzyme loses 50% of its activity. Error bars represent mean ± SD of triplicate measurements.
