Mercury in the adrenal medulla in increasing ages. Mercury starts appearing in the adrenal medulla in the 21–40 years group, where it is present in 52% of people. The proportion of people with mercury in the medulla increases to 80% in the 41–60 years group, and reaches a maximum of 90% in the final 81–104 years group.
