More negative values indicate a more terrestrial carbon source. Refer to Supplementary Table 2 and Supplementary Table 3 for the significances of the pairwise comparisons. Letters a,b and c are used to indicate significantly different δ13CPhe-Val values (P < 0.05) for LR conditions, while letters A, B and C are for HR for the same purpose.
