From: Plasma lipocalin-2/NGAL is stable over 12 weeks and is not modulated by exercise or dieting
Plasma lipocalin-2 (LCN2) protein levels before and after a randomised control trial. There was no difference in LCN2 levels between control (n = 17), dietary intervention (n = 20), or dietary intervention and exercise arms (n = 20) (P = 0.37). Comparisons of initial and post-intervention LCN2 concentrations also showed no significant changes (P = 0.47, P = 0.60, P = 0.51 for comparisons in the control, diet intervention, and dual intervention group respectively). Data are expressed as mean ± S.E.M.
