Examples of color sampling in the calculation of color difference: Color was sampled from atrophied and nonatrophied mucosae in atrophy determination. Similar colors were sampled from gastric neoplasms and non-neoplastic areas, and hue differences were calculated in the CIELAB color space system using Adobe Photoshop.
