A patient with isolated left ventricular noncompaction and the post-processing of left ventricle strain. A large number of loose trabeculae and deep recesses were evident in the left ventricular lateral wall and apical segment of this patient (mark with an asterisk). We delineated the endocardium and epicardium in the short-axis and long-axis cine images, and we marked the left and right chamber boundary points in the short-axis image (a,b).
