Figure 1
From: Nationwide Glaucoma incidence in end stage renal disease patients and kidney transplant recipients

Cumulative Incidence of POAG in ESRD Patients, KTRs, and Healthy Controls. POAG incidence was significantly greater in ESRD patients (3.36/1,000 person-years, P < 0.001) and KTRs (3.22 /1,000 person-years, P < 0.001) as compared to healthy controls (1.20/1,000 person-years). However, there were no significant increase of risks for POAG incidence in neither ESRD patients (P = 0.07) nor KTRs (P = 0.08) when adjusted for age, sex, DM, HTN, dyslipidemia, income, and CCI. There was no significant difference in POAG incidence rates between ESRD patients and KTRs. KTR kidney transplant recipient, KT kidney transplant, CKD chronic kidney disease, ESRD end stage renal disease, POAG primary open-angle glaucoma, DM diabetes mellitus, HTN hypertension, CCI Charlson comorbidity index.
