From: Nationwide Glaucoma incidence in end stage renal disease patients and kidney transplant recipients

Figure 2

Cumulative Incidence of PACG in ESRD Patients, KTRs, and Healthy Controls. PACG incidence was significantly greater in ESRD patients (0.41/1,000 person-years) than in healthy controls (0.14/1,000 person-years, P = 0.008). However, there was no significant difference of PACG incidence rate between KTRs (0.13/1,000 person-years) and healthy controls (P = 0.86) when adjusted for age and sex (Model 1), or age, sex, DM, HTN, dyslipidemia, income, and CCI (Model 2). The PACG incidence rate was significantly lower in KTRs as compared to ESRD patients in both Model 1 (HR = 0.32, P = 0.006) and Model 2 (HR = 0.35, P = 0.02). KTR kidney transplant recipient, KT kidney transplant, CKD chronic kidney disease, ESRD end stage renal disease, PACG primary angle-closure glaucoma, DM diabetes mellitus, HTN hypertension, CCI Charlson comorbidity index, HR hazard ratio.
