Synaptosomes were incubated with 10 μM substrates at 0 °C or 37 °C and the uptake was monitored over time. Error bars represent s.e.m., n = 3. Potassium-induced release of Synaptosomal 2MeGlu (C), 4APA (D) and endogenous Glu and GABA (E). Synaptosomes were preincubated with 100 μM substrate (C,D only) for 15 min at 37 °C.
