The data are presented as means ± standard deviation of the mean. Replicates numbers (n) for each experimental temperature were: 3–5 (9–15 individuals) for E. verrucosus; 4 (56 individuals) for E. cyaneus, and 3–4 (33–44 individuals) for G. lacustris. *Significant difference from initial control values (p < 0.05).
