Left half of the figure indicates perceptual underestimations for the initial judgment, and the right half indicates perceptual underestimations for the memory judgment. Y-axis is the z-score combined situational awareness metric as averaged across the three components (temporal, threat, pain). Lower scores indicate a larger underestimation relative to the actual event. Error bars show ± 1 standard error.
