The alpha shape (red) is compared with (a) delta synapses: exponential and linear type (blue and light blue respectively); (b) RDI synapses: exp-exp and lin-lin type (green and light green, respectively). In (c) we show the internal state evolution in case of threshold crossing considering RDI synapses. The rise and decay phases of RDI approach are indicated through cyan and pink highlights, respectively.
