Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves for VISUAL versus isolated smB lymphocytes determination as a predictor of severity manifestations in CVID patients. Abbreviation: AUC, area under the curve. VISUAL showed significantly higher sensitivity (85% vs 55%, p = 0.01) and negative predictive value (77% vs 58%, respectively), while similar positive predictive value (72% vs 71%, respectively) and specificity (60% vs 73%, respectively) between both tests. The AUC obtained using the VISUAL score was superior to that derived using the isolated determination of smB lymphocytes, without statistical significance (AUC 0.721 versus 0.641).
