Timeline. Body weight and water consumption were monitored regularly, starting from postnatal day (PND) 26. From PND 28, mice received either amoxicillin, chloramphenicol, gentamicin, or no antibiotics (control group) in drinking water (start ABX). The open field test (OFT) and marble burying test (MBT) were performed on PND 43 and 44, respectively. The Morris water maze (MWM) consisted of 4 days and was assessed on PND 47–50. Mice were sacrificed via cervical dislocation on PND 56.
