Fed-batch culture of Mc-MT-2 with a glucose feeding strategy and supplementation of malic acid. Residual glucose and ammonium concentration (A), cell dry weight, lipid content and lipid yield (B) were determined every 12 h in the fermentation process. Values were mean of three independent fermentation experiments. Error bars represent the standard error of the mean.
