Relationship between distance from otolith core along laser scan and inferred age (days post hatch, dph) developed for 25 yearling Pacific bluefin tuna. Ages were predicted from calibrated composite images of transevers otolith sections from an earlier investigation²² with interpolated age contours matched to distance measures at several distances along the laser scan path used in the current study.
