The new moon corresponds to 0° (top), the 1st quarter moon to 90° (right), the full moon to 180° (bottom), and the 3rd quarter moon to 270° (left). The “black” line gives the angular mean and the “red” arc the angular variance of the data and the pie sections within the circle, the number of hatch events during those lunar days.
