NOTUM overexpression did not affect liver weight, hepatic lipid content, or induce liver injury. Liver and plasma samples from mice described in Fig. 1a–j (n = 11–12 per group) were examined for (a) liver weight, (b) liver lipid content including triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), unesterified cholesterol (UC), and phosphatidylcholine (PC), (c) plasma ALT levels, and (d) liver gene expression by qPCR.
