Schematic representation of Human Placental Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy in obesity-induced diabetes. Obesity-induced diabetes poses a major risk factor for the onset of metabolic syndrome with allied complications. White Adipose Tissues (WAT) show an altered dynamic of glucose and energy homeostasis under Ob-T2D conditions. P-MSCs therapy effectively re-establishes the dysregulated cytokines, activates the PI3K-Akt pathway, upregulates Glut4 expression, with enhanced glucose uptake and glycolysis in the WNIN/GR-Ob (Ob-T2D) rats.
