HSPB1-3D-dependent disaggregation results in refolding. Disaggregation reactions with heat shocked (a–c) luciferase or (d-f) LDH aggregates formed in the absence or presence of HSPB1 or HSPB1-3D were performed as described above. Substrate enzymatic activities were monitored over time in reactions containing the indicated chaperone combinations. Kinetics of (a) luciferase and (d) LDH reactivation from aggregates with HSPB1 or HSPB1-3D are reported relative to native substrate activity.
