  1. We used four different estimators: linkage disequilibrium method (LD38,39), heterozygote excess method (HE40, molecular coancestry method (MCA41), and the sibship frequency estimator (SF43). For all estimators, the point estimate as well as 95% confidence intervals (CI) are given. In addition, we provide the effective population size estimates for the groups that had 50% of closely related individuals removed to check whether this has any considerable effect on these estimates; these estimates are labelled with the suffix _R.
