From: ApoE4 attenuates autophagy via FoxO3a repression in the brain

FoxO3a was repressed in human brains of ApoE4 carriers. Human postmortem brain tissues (superior temporal gyrus) were collected to compare ApoE4 non-carriers (n = 7, E4−) vs. carriers (n = 5, E4 +). The protein levels of FoxO3a, p-FoxO3a (Ser253), ApoE4, and β-actin were analyzed by immunoblotting using the corresponding antibodies, respectively. (A) shows the representative western blot analysis of FoxO3a and p-FoxO3a (Ser253). β-actin was used as a loading control. Full blots are provided in Supplementary Fig. S4.
