From: Macrophage autophagy protects against hepatocellular carcinogenesis in mice
Schematic representation of the vicious circle in which inhibition of macrophage autophagy by tumoral cells could promote escape of HCC to antitumor immunity. Tumor cells inhibits macrophage autophagy, and macrophage autophagy inhibition alters the antitumor immune response, leading to HCC progression.
