Effect of MMP inhibitor and heparinase inhibitor on the accumulation of collagen fibrils in the skin equivalent model. mRNA expression levels of the COL1A1 (A), COL3A1 (B) and COL5A1 (C) genes were analyzed by qPCR. Data are expressed as mean ± SD of three independent experiments. The ultrastructure of collagen fibrils at the papillary dermis was imaged by transmission electron microscopy in the skin equivalent model in presence of MMP inhibitor CGS27023A and heparinase inhibitor BIPBIPU (E) as compared with control (D).
