Sum probability distribution of radiocarbon dates from three Swifterbant Culture sites in the Lower-Scheldt valley. (A) dates on bones from sheep/goat and possible cattle; (B,C) dates on plant macroremains from surface-hearths. Both Doel-sites yielded evidence of the use of plant winter fodder (mistletoe and ivy) from ca. 4600/4500 cal BC.
