Most CSF1R+ cells are labeled with Mac2 (A), Mac3 (B), and anti-Lysozyme antibody, clone EPR2994(2) (D), but not with the antibody to F4-80 (C). E–H: Dual fluorescence for GFP and macrophage antibodies in lung sections from CX3CR1GFP mice. CX3CR1 has limited co-localization with Mac2 (E) and Mac3 (F), and lysozyme M (H). Please note that a significant population of F4/80+ cells is noted in the pulmonary parenchyma; however, these cells do not express CSF1R (C) and CX3CR1 (G). Scale bar: 20 μm.
