Table 3 Potential mRNA targets of candidate miRNAs within the AGAT metabolism. The analysis was performed using the online tools miRDB, miRWalk, TargetScan, and miRTarBase. For the individual databases, interactions were considered relevant when the following criteria were met: miRDB – target prediction score > 80; miRWalk – binding p-value > 0.9; TargetScan – conserved sites; miRTarBase – experimentally validated targets. All interactions which were predicted in at least three out of four of the online tools are listed in the table.
