Imaging behavior in 5-day-old zebrafish larvae. The larvae are imaged in four 96-well plates for automated analysis of behavior in a 384-well format. The cropped panels on the right show three visual stimuli projected through the bottom of the plates. The red, green and blue lines move down or up in subsequent 10-min periods. Zebrafish larvae typically swim in the same direction as the lines, called an optomotor response or OMR. Larval movements and locations are measured by automated image analysis. Inner diameter of well = 7.15 mm.
