The cumulative incidences of osteoporosis in men (a younger than 60 years; b older than 60 years) and women (c younger than 60 years; d older than 60 years) who drank non-fermented tea and fermented tea were performed by the Kaplan–Meier product-limit method. Protective effect against osteoporosis were seen only in non-fermented tea drinkers who were male and aged 60 years or more, and the difference between these two groups was compared with log-rank test (p < 0.05).
