Study summary. Cross-sectional analysis of chronotype, physical activity by accelerometry, and 10-year risk of CVD was performed in a middle-aged cohort. Extreme evening chronotype was associated with increased 10-year risk of CVD compared to extreme morning types. This association was partially mediated by increased time spent sedentary among extreme evening types.
