Correlations between TIDE scores and IHC or FCM. T cell dysfunction and exclusion scores were calculated on the TIDE website (http://tide.dfci.harvard.edu/). (a) The vertical axis shows the exclusion score. The horizontal axis shows the ratio of cell densities at CT versus IM of the following antibody-positive cells in IHC; CD3, CD4 and CD8. (b) The vertical axis shows the dysfunction score. The horizontal axis shows the percentage of cytokine (IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-2)-producing CD4+ or CD8+ T cells without stimulation (Unstim), with CytoStim stimulation (CS), or PMA/IM (PI) stimulation, as detected by FCM. In addition, the difference between cytokine-positive cells with PI- and CS-stimulated cells was calculated in each patient and compared (PI-CS). The Pearson's correlation coefficient (r) between dysfunction scores and the percentages of cytokine-producing cells is shown in the upper part of each scatter plot.
