From: Song complexity is maintained during inter-population cultural transmission of humpback whale songs
Complexity scores were calculated for every theme recorded for the (a) Purple song type, (b) Light Purple song type, (c) Brown song type, (d) Light Brown song type, (e) Teal song type, and (f) Orange song type. Scores were calculated for the song types as they appeared in each population. Themes are numbered, with unique themes that were only found in a single population circled in black.
