Effects of pretreatment with hydroalcoholic extracts of the aerial parts of P. indica or P. auriculata on the hepatic contents of inflammatory markers in TAA-induced injury in rats. (A) Tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) and (B) interleukin (IL-6). Animals were given TAA (200 mg/kg/day; i.p.) on 14th and 15th days. Other regimens were given orally and daily for 15 days. Results were expressed as Mean ± SD, n = 5. SLM: Silymarin, *,@Significantly different from normal control and TAA groups at p < 0.05, respectively.
