Effects of pretreatment with hydroalcoholic extracts of the aerial parts of P. indica or P. auriculata on the hepatic α-SMA in TAA-induced liver injury in rats. Animals were given TAA (200 mg/kg/day; i.p.) on 14th and 15th days. Other regimens were given orally and daily for 15 days. Results were expressed as Mean ± SD, n = 5. SLM: Silymarin, *,@Significantly different from normal control and TAA groups at p < 0.05, respectively.
