The antitumor effect of cinnamon essential oil (Cinn, 50 mg/kg b.wt/day, orally) on Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) after 12 days of the treatments revealing that Cinn succeded to control tumor cells’ growth by inducing apoptosis and necrosis and cell cycle arrest at G0/G1 phase. The flow cytometric quantification of apoptosis and cell cycle distribution was performed using Annexin V-FITC/PI assay and PI staining, respectively.
