Assessment of best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) in patients with the sellar and suprasellar tumor. (a) Comparison of BCVA between eyes with and without optic nerve bending before and after surgery. The preoperative BCVA of eyes with optic nerve bending was significantly lower than those without optic nerve bending (**p < 0.001). BCVA was significantly improved after tumor resection in eyes with optic nerve bending (**p < 0.001). There was no significant difference between the pre- and postoperative BCVA of eyes without optic nerve bending (p = 0.40). (b) Graphs showing the correlation between the ONCBA and preoperative BCVA in 50 eyes of 25 patients. The ONCBA had a positive correlation with preoperative BCVA (r = 0.4986, p = 0.0002).
