Particle distributions in longitudinal phase-space at the collimator position for various initial bunch charges. The electrons are emitted at on-crest emission phase with a maximum gradient of 20 MV/m, resulting in a kinetic energy of 1.61 MeV. The space-charge induced curvature contribution is added to the RF chirp imprinted in the gun which is clearly visible for the case without space charge. For the higher bunch charges, the split of two distinct cores in the phase space is observed, resulting in the increment of the energy spread and bunch length.
