Inhibitory effects of alpinumisoflavone (AIF) on H2O2-induced expression of vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA) in ARPE-19 cells. (a) ARPE-19 cells were treated with the indicated concentrations of H2O2 for 24 h. The fluorescence intensity of ARPE-19 cells treated with H2O2 were measured. Data were analysed using one-way ANOVA followed by the Holm-Šídák post-hoc t-test (*p < 0.05 vs. H2O2 0 µM group) and are expressed as mean ± S.E. (n = 328–406). (b) VEGFA expression was measured by dot blot. ARPE-19 cells stimulated with H2O2 were treated with 5 µM AIF. Data were analysed using one-way ANOVA followed by the Holm-Šídák post-hoc t-test (*p < 0.05 vs. non-H2O2 group, #p < 0.05 vs. cells treated with only H2O2 group) and are expressed as mean ± S.E. (n = 3–9).
