Fracture generation, reduction and test set up are shown. The lateral tibial plateau was loaded axially as demonstrated for fracture generation (a+b) and during the biomechanical testing after fixation (c). The simulated lateral depression fractures (a+b) were reduced anatomically by an approach at the lateral metaphysis (d), the depressed articular fracture fragment was detected by a k-wire (e) and then elevated by a cannulated ram (f).
