Pyomelanin absorbance measurements (∆OD405 ~ amount of HGA consumed by HGD) in function of time post-IPTG induction. After 24 h, the auto-oxidation and self-polymerization of HGA into pyomelanin has reached a steady-state for both expression temperatures. To conclude, OD405 endpoint readouts should be performed at the earliest 24 h after induction with IPTG.
