Rhinoceros radius (NHMUK PV M 103081) in anterior (a), medial (b), posterior (c) and lateral (d) view. The arrow indicates the point of impact that removed one of the cortical flakes, the large oval encloses the area of battering damage, and small ovals enclose isolated knapping scores. The label (‘Implement HB’) points to the damage recognized by Henri Breuil (HB). Burial in an aquatic environment is indicated by impressions of bivalves in the concreted sediment adhering to the proximal end.
