Protective effects of tranilast are associated with FoxO-1 inactivation. (A,B) INS-1 cells were treated with PA (500 μM) in the presence or absence of tranilast at the indicated concentrations for 24 h, and immunoblotting of whole cell lysates (A), or subcellular fractions (B, cytoplasmic and nucleus fractions) were carried out.
