In vivo experimental timeline. Upon arrival and acclimatization, mice undergo the rotarod test for evaluation of motor performance before the start of rotenone treatment (Baseline, day 0). Following that, rotenone oral administration via administration by intragastric gavage was performed daily, 5 days per week for 2 (group 1) or 4 (group 2) months. Rotarod performance was assessed once every month until the end of the experiment (fixation).
