A higher number of dissociated G-protein subunits (stronger G-protein activation) is represented by more negative values. One can directly see that the blue “curve” (NFEPP at pH 7.4) shows lower numbers of dissociated subunits (weaker G-protein activation) compared to the other scenarios.
