Correlations between plasma biomarkers and motor severity scales. Scatter plots show correlations between plasma biomarkers and motor severity scales in the PD cohort (n = 29). Spearman’s correlations were used with significance at the 0.05 level. A significant positive correlation was found between (a) MDS-UPDRS III score and NFL, (b) MDS-UPDRS III score and GFAP, and (c) MDS-UPDRS III score and alpha-synuclein. No significant correlations were observed between MDS-UPDRS III score and (d) tau and (e) UCHL1. Further, a significant correlation was found between (f) H&Y stage and NFL and (g) H&Y and GFAP. No significant correlations were observed between H&Y stage and (h) tau, (i) UCHL1 and (j) alpha-synuclein. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001.
