  1. Patients’ data were compared using Fisher’s exact test for categorical variables. Kruskal–Wallis test was used for continuous variables, if p < 0.05, the U de Mann–Whitney test was applied. Significant differences are reported in these cases. Continuous variables are given as medians and interquartile ranges (25th–75th percentile) and categorical ones by the number of patients and percentage, n (%). The Mann–Whitney U test was applied between (a) severe and mild, (b) moderate and mild, and (c) severe and moderate groups.
