ADM (− 8 M) stimulates ROS expression in human adipocytes, and this increase was blocked by ADM antagonist, ADM22-52 (− 7 M). The average intensity to quantify MitoSox was obtained from 5 separate fields each containing approximately 6 cells, and final data are displayed as mean ± standard error of the mean from a total of about 30 cells in each treatment. **p < 0.01 compared with the untreated control.
