Study design and flow chart. Study 1: Sequence of procedure steps, device used, and dilatation pressure were the same in the angio-guidance and OFDI-guidance groups. 3D-OFDI images were assessed during the procedure by an expert. If the wiring point was not the pre-defined optimal point, the rewiring procedure was repeated. In the angio-guidance group, the procedure steps proceeded under fluoroscopy only. Study 2: Device used, dilatation pressure, and lack of OFDI guidance were the same. Success rate of angiographically distal rewiring after the first attempt in the conventional and novel bench models.
