Schematic illustration of the study population. RT-qPCR, reverse-transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. A cycle threshold value of < 40 for SARS-CoV-2 genes and < 35 for internal control was considered indicative of positive test for SARS-CoV-2. The respiratory pathogens were evaluated with NxTAG® Respiratory Pathogen Panel, where the Integrated multiplex PCR and bead hybridization was performed using end-point PCR and read on the NxTAG-Enabled MAGPIX® System.
