Mutations related to ALS or soft tissue tumors. Residues in the GLT8D1 catalytic domain associated ALS (G78W, A82E, I87N and R92C, I290M) or soft tissue tumors (Q319E) are displayed as magenta spheres within the cartoon representation of GLT8D1. The position of bound UDP-Gal and Mn2+ modeled in the GLT8D1 active site are shown in gray stick and slate sphere representation, respectively as shown in Fig. 4B.
